The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is organising two webinars (to accommodate different time zones) to launch their latest policy brief on Keep it in use: Retain resource value and unlock economic opportunities.
The brief explores policies geared to keeping products, parts and materials in use. It focuses on three key instruments: waste regulations and resource classifications, Extended Producer Responsibility, and support for secondary materials markets. It features six case studies from G20 countries and provides practical recommendations to help policymakers design and implement effective circular economy policies.
The webinars will be an opportunity to ask questions, meet their team and learn how these policies can help accelerate the transition to a resilient and competitive circular economy.
This session will explore key policy instruments, including Extended Producer Responsibility and waste regulations and resource classifications, and how shared understanding and clear frameworks can help keep products, parts and materials in use.
Speakers include:
- Warren Phelan, Environmental Protection Agency
- Patrick Schroeder, Chatham House
- Peter Börkey, OECD
- Xiaoting Chen, Ellen MacArthur Foundation
The webinar will be in English with live closed captions available in multiple languages, allowing participants to follow the discussion in their preferred language. Registration.
It will take place on 24 March at 08:30 - 10:30 GMT
